Yin yoga space is a dedicated Yin yoga studio located in Central Eastside PDX. We offer a range of Yin yoga classes at both daytime and late night, specialty workshops and trainings as well as a variety of yoga and wellness related items for purchase.

We strive to create a safe space for those of all lifestyles, genders, belief systems, and abilities.
We are not your typical yoga studio.

WHAT IS YIN?
Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that focuses on stillness and deep stretching. Instead of flowing quickly from one pose to the next, yin invites you to hold postures for three to seven minutes at a time. This allows the stretch to reach beyond the muscles and into the body’s deeper connective tissues like fascia, joints, and ligaments.

The practice is passive and supported, often using props like bolsters or blankets to help the body fully relax. By softening into each posture, yin yoga not only improves flexibility and mobility but also helps release tension stored deep within the body.

Beyond the physical benefits, yin yoga creates space for mindfulness and inner reflection. It slows the nervous system, reduces stress, and invites you to sit with yourself - even with discomfort - in a compassionate way. Rooted in the philosophy of yin and yang, it balances the active, fiery practices of daily life with a quieter, more receptive energy.
